In my time working as an instructor and personal tutor, I’ve had some very interesting scenarios come up involving the psychology of working with Algebra 1. My algebra students are generally broken up into two demographics. The first group of students are of traditional age, either in high school or starting college. The second group are considered non-traditional students, and are usually much older. Teaching each of these groups math requires very specific and different approaches because of the inherent psychology of the situation.
